People & Culture Generalist

We're a lean, reliable People & Culture team of two: Oleksandra (Sasza) and Zuzanna (Zuza). You'll join as a true generalist - someone who can move smoothly between people partnering, recruitment, onboarding, compliance projects, day-to-day people operations, and other people-related initiatives.

This is not a role where you'll own one narrow lane. You'll work directly alongside the Head of People & Culture and Senior HR Operations & Systems Specialist, gradually taking ownership across the full breadth of the function.

Success for the first 6 months in this role looks like:

  • You are able to run recruitment smoothly, owning assigned processes end-to-end.

  • You are a real support in compliance-driven projects (e.g., pay transparency job evaluation, State Labour Inspection-related reform readiness)

  • You know our operational rhythms - payroll input, HRIS navigation (we use hiBob, btw), business travel management, office needs (we have a small office space at Legnicka Street), etc.

  • You know our employee retention initiatives, and you are an owner of one of them (e.g., pulse surveys, performance review redesign, onboarding/offboarding).

  • You proactively spot what needs fixing or improving, and you propose changes with a concrete plan and the resources needed to make it happen.

Responsibilities

  • Running end-to-end recruitment processes

  • Owning onboarding and offboarding processes, as well as helping build out HR policies and procedures along the way

  • Being a go-to support for both people managers and employees

  • Supporting compensation benchmarking exercises

  • Helping design and roll out a redesigned performance review process

  • Getting us ready for regulatory/whistleblower-related reforms, with room to fully own this if you want it

  • Supporting business travel booking and basic office administration (we are remote-first company with a small office space; it's the matter of a couple of days per month to visit the office, check the supplies level, pack a welcome pack for a newbie, etc.)

  • Supporting monthly payroll input and verification (including for employees in the US, Germany and Poland) - you won't run payroll yourself, but you're an important set of eyes on it

  • Supporting quarterly pulse-check surveys - from data processing to shaping recommendations

Role requirements

  • Comfortable taking full ownership of tasks and projects; proactive by default, not waiting for direction

  • Bring recruitment experience, ideally within IT / tech environments (product company experience is a strong plus)

  • HR Business Partner experience

  • Based in or near Wrocław, and available for occasional in-office days

  • Comfortable with administrative and operational work - the "unglamorous but necessary" parts of the job, in addition to more strategic projects

  • Fluent in Polish and English (written and spoken) - you'll work across both languages daily

  • Experience designing or facilitating internal training/workshop would be a plus

Nice to have

  • Genuine interest in using AI tools (we provide paid access to Gemini and Claude) to build efficiency into your own workflows

  • Familiarity with ISO/audit requirements for HR
